As a PhD stu­dent in Cog­ni­tive Psy­chol­o­gy, I’m explor­ing how per­son­al­ized and moti­va­tion­al approach­es can make the learn­ing process more effec­tive. With over 15 years of expe­ri­ence in K‑12 edu­ca­tion in my home coun­try, I’ve focused on cre­at­ing inno­v­a­tive pro­grams to engage learn­ers and use moti­va­tion­al tech­niques to make learn­ing more excit­ing.

Haley is a PhD stu­dent in the Exper­i­men­tal Cog­ni­tive Psy­chol­o­gy pro­gram. She works under the advise­ment of Dr. Shel­bi Kuhlmann in the Kuhl­Me­dia & Mind Lab, study­ing emerg­ing tech­nolo­gies to sup­port STEM suc­cess. Some of her research inter­ests include self-reg­u­la­tion, moti­va­tion, col­lab­o­ra­tive learn­ing, and learn­ing from errors.

Ife­oluwa Awopetu is a Ph.D. stu­dent in the Applied Lin­guis­tics pro­gram at the Depart­ment of Eng­lish. Her research encom­pass­es mul­ti­modal com­mu­ni­ca­tion and online inter­ac­tions. She is par­tic­u­lar­ly inter­est­ed in how lan­guage, iden­ti­ty, and ide­ol­o­gy inter­sect in com­put­er-medi­at­ed com­mu­ni­ca­tion.

Favour Olare­wa­ju, a PhD can­di­date in Eco­nom­ics at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mem­phis, serves as IISSO’s Eco­nom­ics Ambas­sador. She is pas­sion­ate about teach­ing, has exten­sive expe­ri­ence, and research­es health, labor, and applied eco­nom­ics, with 10+ pub­li­ca­tions in rep­utable jour­nals.
