Sonia is a senior grad­u­ate stu­dent in seis­mol­o­gy whose research focus­es on acoustic-to-seis­mic cou­pling. Using seis­mic, acoustic, and refrac­tion data from the son­ic boom gen­er­at­ed by NASA’s OSIRIS-REx cap­sule reen­try, she exam­ines how the Earth responds to down­ward-prop­a­gat­ing sound waves.

Haley is a PhD stu­dent in the Exper­i­men­tal Cog­ni­tive Psy­chol­o­gy pro­gram. She works under the advise­ment of Dr. Shel­bi Kuhlmann in the Kuhl­Me­dia & Mind Lab, study­ing emerg­ing tech­nolo­gies to sup­port STEM suc­cess. Some of her research inter­ests include self-reg­u­la­tion, moti­va­tion, col­lab­o­ra­tive learn­ing, and learn­ing from errors.

Ruhan is a PhD stu­dent in the Exper­i­men­tal Cog­ni­tive Psy­chol­o­gy pro­gram, advised by Dr. Roger Kreuz in the Psy­chol­o­gy of Lan­guage Lab. Her research explores the rela­tion­ships among emo­tion, cog­ni­tion, and lan­guage using large lan­guage mod­els (LLMs) and nat­ur­al lan­guage pro­cess­ing (NLP) meth­ods.
